Quickstart: Create Your First Service

Use this workflow to prove that your Cloudflow setup is ready for daily work.

1. Create or Select a Customer

Open Customers and create a customer with a name, email, phone, and service address. Parent/child customer relationships can be used when one account manages billing for multiple properties or locations.

2. Create the Service

Open Services and create a new service. At minimum, provide a description. Add these fields when known:

  • Customer
  • Service type
  • Status
  • Start date and time
  • Duration or end time
  • Street, city, state, zip, and geocoded coordinates
  • Technician or crew assignment

3. Add Contacts and Files

Add service contacts when a job has site contacts, billing contacts, emergency contacts, or property managers. Upload files to keep photos, estimates, documents, and supporting records tied to the job.

4. Dispatch and Track

Use Dispatch and Markets to confirm that the service is in the right area and that assigned technicians have capacity. Move the service through your configured statuses as the work progresses.

5. Invoice and Collect

When the work is ready for billing, create an invoice from the service. If CloudPay is configured, send a payment link, charge a saved card, or process supported in-person payment flows.
